JACKSON – The United Way of West Tennessee presented a $15,000 check to the Madison County Imagination Library on Monday afternoon at the Jackson Chamber of Commerce prior to the Imagination Library Board Meeting. In 2007 the United Way of West TN committed a pledge of $80,000 of the Kate Campbell Robertson Endowment to the Imagination Library to be granted over 5 years. This $15,000 presentation marks the final payment on this pledge.

JACKSON – The Board of Directors for the United Way of West Tennessee is proud to announce the Community Impact Funding for 2012 - 2013. Over the next year $1,346,906 will be invested into 115 local programs, run by 81 partner agencies serving our friends and neighbors here in the West Tennessee Community. The United Way will also be honoring donor designations totaling over $216,000 to other designated organizations, not partnered with UWWT. All funding will be for a one-year cycle.

Herndon comes to United Way directly from Mii Gourmet, a company he co-founded and served as Vice President of Marketing. Roy Heatherly, Chairman of the United Way of West Tennessee Board described Herndon as a great choice to head the United Way. “He brings character, passion and a tremendous background to our organization,” Heatherly said. “Eddie Lee is from West Tennessee, loves the area and loves the people. He joins a very talented staff, and together, they will lead United Way of West Tennessee through the challenging years ahead.”
